Visas and residency: frequently asked questions
Who can get a Golden Visa?
Investors, property owners above the set threshold, qualified professionals and entrepreneurs. We assess eligibility from documents before filing.
Is a visa the same as tax residency?
No. Tax residency is a separate procedure based on the actual time you spend in the UAE.
How long can I stay outside the UAE?
To keep a residence visa — no more than 180 consecutive days. Requirements for a tax residency certificate are stricter.
Why does the company come first?
An investor visa is linked to a company, so registration comes first. Other routes are discussed case by case.
