Accounting and tax: frequently asked questions
What is the corporate tax rate?
9% on profit above the set threshold. Some Free Zone companies can keep a 0% rate if they meet the conditions — we check this against your structure.
When must I register for VAT?
Mandatory once turnover exceeds the threshold. Voluntary registration is possible earlier, depending on your counterparties.
Is an audit required?
It depends on the jurisdiction and the company's regime. For some Free Zones an annual audit is mandatory — we confirm whether this applies to you.
Books not kept for a year or more?
We offer reconstruction: collecting documents, rebuilding transactions, closing periods and minimising penalties. This is a separate service.
